Today we had our first meeting with the Student Council at Jarrow School to find out if they may be able to get involved with Hive Radio, from taking part in recordings to the Students making programs of their own.
Our first project is to be based around an exhibition that was held at Springfield School in 1974. the aim of this was ‘To give an opportunity for the Senior Citizens of the town to relive memories, and at the same time to indicate to the younger generation what the town has achieved in past years’ We would like to bring together Adults that attended Secondary School in the 1970′s with students at Jarrow School and base a program on their discussions of how things have changed to the present day.
If you would be interested in taking part please contact us at Hive radio and watch out for our blog where we will update you on our progress.
A trip down memory lane for me at my old school. Its gonna be interesting to see what everyone’s response is…can’t wait
