In November 2012 we recorded Tom Kelly, a Jarrow-born poet & writer, talking about his love of the area, his sense of place and his working process. You can listen to the interview here

Tom recently finished a project with Andrew Hagan documenting and dramatising the lives of workers in the area who worked in the shipyards, Men Of The Tyne has just finished a mini-tour to the Gala, Durham, Phoenix at Blyth and Washington Arts Centre.

Rachel Connelly, an MA Media student at Sunderland University has made a radio doc about Tom’s ideas and show. Hive Radio will be broadcasting this documentary during March – sign up to the blog to hear when.
